E-Nose to find smokers

Some people tells their doctor that they don't smoke. The only way to confirm it is by taking blood or urine test. But now the need for that has been eliminated with the invention of e-nose. A team led by Paul Thomas at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia has founded the e-nose that detects volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the breath of a person who had smoked a cigarette. It uses an array of 32 sensors. It successfully identified 37 out of 39 persons as smokers or non smokers correctly. For more information visit the Article
