My Experience in an IT company

Hi all I wish to share my experience in the company that i joined in May. I was a fresher passed out in 2009 and was searching for a job for a long time. Finally all MNC's started recruiting in 2010. I attended the offcampus conducted by all MNC's like CTS, HCL, Mphasis and TechMahindra. After many failures finally i got selected in one of these MNC. I gave my interview for that company in february and was waiting waiting and waiting for the offer letter. After 2 months in May I got the OL and joined in that month itself. I was quiet unlucky that I have to join in the western region. Having made up my mind I joined. When i was joining i don't know anyone but to my surprise out of 20, 12 were from my region only and my training went on well. I felt lonely first but finally i gained not only knowledge through the training but also nice friends. Actually my training was scheduled for 3months but i t got over in 1.5months itself. I was waiting for my location and was sincerely praying to god that i must be posted in south. But again my luck played a great role and i finally got the location in Pune. I was so upset and every one in my new batch were from north and i don't know even a single word in hindi. I tried to change the location to south but it was a failure. The thing that i like to say is never ever make a gang with the people from your own region. Try to speak with all so that you won't feel when you are moving out of your circle. You can work well only when your comfort level is high and also its high only when you feel that location is like your home town. These MNC's are never ever going to encourage this. So you have to take care of your comfort. My kind suggestion is that while in training try to mingle with all and don't ever struck within a small circle. Now I'm into the project specific training..........

I am writing this post since when i tried to figure out the bus to Sri Sai Ram Engineering College to attend CBT by aspiring minds for HCL but I cannot find the MTC buses... I think most of you might have been at the same stage... I took direct bus from Tambaram to Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai. The bus number was M18H and M18S. Get down at Tambaram Station. Go through the Subway and reach the next side and walk left some distance then you will find the bus... The frequency of buses are low. So start earlier...As far as I know buses are available at 6.10am and 7.10am(It will be useful if you are scheduled for morning 8am exam) If you take auto they will ask for minimum of Rs 150... While going in bus you will cross Kiskinta Theme Park.. From there you can reach the Sai Ram College Bus stop in nearly 7minutes.. From there you have to walk about 0.7km to get into the college... False hijack Scare - IndiGo flight

A passenger on board an IndiGo Airlines flight from Delhi to Mumbai created a scare on Thursday when he falsely claimed there was a bomb in the aircraft and asked the crew to divert the plane to Pakistan. According to a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official, the passenger, later identified as Sanjay Malik, created panic at around 11.45am when the flight 6E 181 was on its final approach to the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The captain of the aircraft alerted the air traffic control of Mumbai airport. A Quick Response Team of the CISF, a paramilitary force that guards airports and important industrial installations across the country, was deployed at the airport.

The team took over the aircraft as soon as it landed at around 11.45am and checked it but could not find any bomb.The CISF detained the passenger and later handed him over to Mumbai Police who were in the process of questioning him to find out his motive. The CISF official said the passenger seemed mentally disturbed.

For the IndiGo airlines, this was the second instance of panic midair. On Feb 2, its flight E 664 made an emergency landing at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport as three passengers created a hijack scare during the flight.

A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake last week has moved the south of New Zealand closer to Australia, scientists said on Wednesday.With the countries separated by the 2,250-kilometre-wide (1,400-mile-wide) Tasman Sea, the 30 centimetre (12 inch) closing of the gap in New Zealand's southwest won't make much difference.

But earthquake scientist Ken Gledhill of GNS Science said the shift illustrated the huge force of the tremor, the biggest in the world so far this year.
"Basically, New Zealand just got a little bit bigger is another way to think about it," he said.While the southwest of the South Island moved about 30 centimetres closer to Australia, the east coast of the island moved only one centimetre westwards, he said.

The biggest quake in New Zealand in 78 years caused only slight damage to buildings and property when it struck the remote southwest Fiordland region of the South Island last Thursday.A small tsunami was generated by the earthquake, with a tide gauge on the West Coast of New Zealand recording a wave of one metre.

The Seine is a slow-flowing major river and commercial waterway. It is also a tourist attraction, with excursion boats offering sightseeing tours of the Rive Droite and Rive Gauche within the city of Paris. It terminates in the Bay of the Seine region of the English Channel and is navigable by oceanic transports. Over sixty percent of its length from Burgundy near the Swiss Alps is negotiable by commercial riverboats and nearly its whole length is available for recreational boating.There are 37 bridges over the River Seine just within Paris and dozens more spanning the river outside of the city. The average depth of the Seine today at Paris is about eight metres. Until locks were installed to artificially raise the level in the 1800s, however, the river was much shallower within the city most of the time, and consisted only of a small channel of continuous flow bordered by sandy banks. Today depth is tightly controlled and the entire width of the river between the built-up banks on either side is normally filled with water. The average flow of the river is very low, only a few cubic metres per second, but much higher flows are possible during periods of heavy runoff.

One of the largest and most visited museums in the world, and possibly the most famous of them all. Louvre is one of Paris's must-visit place. The Louvre was built in several stages. It was first built in the 16th century when the Royal family started to move near the fortress of the Louvre.The name of the main architect was Pierre Lescot, who was appointed in 1546 by the king. The immense building had 2 courtyards and was 2 stories high. Its architecture combines French and Italian features. About a decade later, Catherine de Medici started with another palace project, the Tuileries on the west side of the Louvre. Later, during the second empire, between 1853 and 1857, the Louvre was massively extended by Visconti and Lefuel.

The latest addition to the Louvre was the glass pyramid entrance, one of the finest examples of a combination of mordern and historic architecture.
The last buildings of the palace were built in the second half of the 19th century. It is only in 1989 that an important addition to the Louvre has been completed – a 70 x 70 meters big, underground reception hall for the visitors of the museum, lit with the natural coming from the glass pyramid built on its roof.
Designed by American Chinese architect Ieoh Ming Pei, the pyramid has a square base with each side 35 meters long. It is covered by almost 700 glass panes and the whole mythology has been created around their exact number (678 according to some people, 666 according to the others), as having a special meaning, or a magic power.
